Democratic citizenship is not limited to the citizen’s legal status and to the voting right this status implies. It includes all aspects of life in a democratic society. Democratic citizenship is therefore related to a vast range of topics such as sustainable development, participation of people with disabilities in society, gender mainstreaming, prevention of terrorism and many other areas.terrorism and many other areas.

What is Digital Democracy
The use of the Internet or other computer technologies to enhance governance processes such as voting or participation in public hearings.Digital democracy, or democracy, encompasses the social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the equal participation of citizens in decision-making processes through the effective use of information and communication technologies, enabling the free and equal application of the right to political self-determination. In this seminar, history of digital democracy, approaches to digital democracy, experiences in different countries and a vision for the future are presented. In addition, the positive and negative effects of information and communication technologies on the existing representative democratic systems are discussed and the latest political / social developments are
evaluated in the context of internet technologies.
